New York, NY, June 21, 2022 – U.S. Foot & Ankle Specialists, LLC (“USFAS”), a portfolio company of NMS Capital (“NMS”), announced today that it has acquired Podiatric Care of Northern Virginia, which operates a practice in Leesburg.
Family owned and operated since 1982, Podiatric Care of Northern Virginia emphasizes a strong sense of family in its practice. The practice provides a complete suite of medical and surgical treatments, including care for heel pain, ankle sprains, athlete’s foot, corns, flat feet, diabetic foot care and more. In addition to the services provided at its Leesburg office, the practice provides care at several local assisted living and nursing facilities, as well as home visits for patients who meet certain criteria. Inpatient services for trauma and limb salvage are also provided at Inova Loudoun Hospital.
Podiatric Care of Northern Virginia was started by Dr. Rodney Kander, with Dr. William Knudson taking over the practice in 2011. Dr. Knudson is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and an expert in comprehensive care of feet and ankles, with an emphasis on preventative treatment. He is also a faculty member in the Podiatric Residency Program at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Dr. David Lee Chan joined the practice in 2020. Dr. Chan is Board Qualified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and completed his residency at East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio, where he developed a familiarity with and understanding of cutting-edge foot and ankle surgical techniques.
